Shalom and blessings.

A word for you

Look before you leap. Many a rash choice has caused many to fall. Get as many facts as you can and weigh your choices with biblical values before making a decision.
Nevertheless, take care because indecision becomes decision with time and every risk is a leap of faith. Have a great day!

Congregations

Our New sanctuary

Finally after what seemed like an impossible task, God has enabled us to complete works on our new sanctuary. Members determined to finish the work on the sanctuary without outside financial support relaying on “2Sa 24:24 …… I will not offer burnt offerings to Adonai my God that cost me nothing…….” Members sold household items and volunteered to make this a reality. Praise God for His goodness.

The Chinkuli congregation lost our beloved member Jane.

Beatrice, Fay and Jane Kachepa (in wheelchair).

Please do pray for the Kachepa family, their other daughter Unity(16yrs) is admitted and is in critical condition at one of the local hospitals, she is believed to have a brain tumor.

Missions

Pastor Willis from Hesperus teaching at our day school.

Pat washing dishes at the day school.

We had two wonderful mission teams that visited Zambia recently. The teams visited congregations, helped at the orphanage and day school and did evangelistic works.

Thank you to all who come and to all those who made the mission trips a reality.

Mariah’s Sponsorship Experience:

Maria & Ruth!

“When I was just 13 years old, God placed it on my heart to sponsor a child. After becoming a sponsor, I immediately wanted to travel to Zambia and meet my girl Ruth. After 6 years of waiting, God fulfilled my dream. I had the opportunity to meet Ruth in person and it couldn’t have been sweeter! While I was there, I met Thomas who has such a tender and loving soul. He touched my heart so much so that I decided to sponsor him as well.

Maria and Thomas!

Sponsorship is about so much more than just sending money. It is a way to really connect with a child who is so desperate for love. If you choose to do so, you can really have a lasting impact on their life. In fact, if you open your heart, chances are that they will reach deep and touch you.”

If you are ready to open your heart and be forever changed, please consider becoming a sponsor. Kimmy, Elijah, Richard and so many more are awaiting your support and friendship.

(We still have many children in need of sponsorship. We have 162 children at the day school that is 85 boys and 77 girls. 73 children are still in need of sponsorship. $25 a month will provide school, food and a biblical education for one precious child, please help us have all children to get sponsored).

Orphanage.

Children at our orphanage home.

Story of a Child

Meet another Alex Yalenga.

The government brought a lost child to our orphanage home. He was found in some slams of Lusaka wondering in the night. No one knows his name and age and he claims he was only called Junior and does not have any other name. After giving up in trying to locate his parents the government finally gave him to our orphanage. We think he is around five years old. The government was requested to name the child so that he can be enrolled into our sponsorship program and into school, to everyone’s amazement they named him Alex Yalenga.

Other News

Our Court papers concerning litigation of our frontage have again gone missing from The Zambian High Court. Thank you for praying.

We have been working on our website and trying to update it and make it more relevant.

Pray for our ministry as we have come under a number of attacks from the Lusaka city council government and the central government.

Contrary to Zambian law, the Lusaka city council is demanding that we pay about $1900 in land rates. Our attorneys responded quoting the law but the Lusaka City council will have non of our explanations. Without funds to fight this injustice in court we find ourselves with almost no other option but to pay. Please do pray that God will fight this battle for us.

The Zambia Revenue Authority also imposed a penalty of almost $12,000 for un-remitted revenue.

After contending and showing proof that we are a religious organization that amount has been reduced to $2400. We are still fighting to have the entire amount written off. Thank you for your prayers.

Scholarships – Graciousness Extended:
Upon graduation from the Day School, each child takes a required exam, to determine whether they will be selected to go further in school.  They will be able to attend a higher school if their scores are high enough and positions are available.  The great news is that our Day School students consistently get the highest scores in the exams, and almost all are selected to move to the higher levels.  The sad news is that these schools are not free.
Those schools have fees which must be paid before the child is permitted to enroll. In Zambia, these schools start in January and end in December, and the cost is $360/year for one child.    You can help these children break through the cycle of poverty, and continue their education in grades 8- 12.  A scholarship for all 5 years of their high school education would be $1,800.00.
We believe that these children are the future leaders of Zambia, and as godly men and women, they will turn this nation around.  So, you see why we are so eager to see each child go on into the upper levels.
Please consider sponsoring a child for a year of upper education at $360 per year.  Of course, we rejoice to receive all gifts of any amount, so we can make as many scholarships available as possible. “

Give Thanks to the Lord, for He Is Good

Halleluyah! Praise Adonai, for He is good, for His lovingkindness endures forever.

Who can speak of Adonai’s mighty acts or declare His praise?

Blessed are those who maintain justice, who do what is right at all times.

Remember me, Adonai, when You show favor to Your people. Visit me with Your salvation, so I may behold the prosperity of Your chosen ones, exult in the joy of Your nation, and give praise with Your inheritance.

Rabbi Jack Zimmerman

Rabbi Jack Zimmerman was at ZMF recently and brought word to the congregation, the orphans and the nation of Zambia via radio. He also conducted a mikveh (baptism) with Rabbi Alex. Nine precious souls received Yeshua and dedicated their lives to the God of Israel. One of them was a former Muslim.

Eliyahu

Ramah Eliyahu Mapepo went to be with the Lord last April.

Eliyahu was many things at Zambia Messianic Fellowship.

He was our sanctuary custodian, Hebrew teacher, Graphic designer, website admin, Shabbat school teacher and many more.

Eliyahu was 28 yrs. old and was sponsoring two orphans.

The entire ZMF family misses Eliyahu and thanks God for sharing Eliyahu with all of us.

Another wedding at ZMF

Dingley and Roydah tied the knot at Beth Messiah.

I am glad to report that the Lord has helped us plant three new small congregations in Solwezi (Northwestern Province), Kitwe (Copperbelt province) and Luwingu (Northern province). Please do pray that they will grow and impact their communities for the Messiah and God of Israel.

Missions

Karen and Maria Banko from Roeh Israel in Denver are in Zambia for three weeks!! Hallelujah!

They will be working with orphans at both the day school and the orphanage.

Please do keep them in prayer for good health, safety and above all God’s will to be done during their visit.

A team of six wonderful servants of God from Hesperus, Colorado will be visiting ZMF next month in June.

The Day School

The Day school is in the western part of Lusaka and has about 194 children.

Many of these children are orphans.

Of the 194 children 102 are boys and 92 are girls. The day school is from 1st grade to seventh grade.Thank you for being the loving arms of Yeshua in bringing hope, comfort, food and school to these precious souls.

Orphanage.

IMG_1913

Corn meal being delivered  for orphans

The orphanage has again come under attack and this time from the local government.

Zambian law exempts all religious institutions like Synagogues and churches from paying land rates.

However, the local authority feels because we are taking care of orphans (given to us by the federal government) we should then pay land rates.

They have slapped us with a $1600 penalty. We are contesting this and would appreciate prayer in this regard.

Because we fly both the Israeli and American flags at our property the local government through one of its officers has accused us of receiving funding from the government of Israel and the government of the United States. This is a lie. Godly ministries and hardworking individuals are the ones supporting the work of our ministry through their donations.

As a matter of fact, we still have many orphans without sponsorship for food, school, clothing, medication and spiritual education. Please help us find more sponsorship for these sweet children who are without parents and hope. The information for sponsorship is found towards the bottom of this newsletter.

The orphanage has 22 children who live there.

Orphan Story

FREDRICK MUTALE

Fredrick

Fredrick Mutale is 11 yrs. old and he lost both of his parents when he was young. He was then taken care of by his grandmother who later abandoned him due to poverty. He now lives at the Jerome Fleischer orphanage home. The government of Zambia brought him to our orphanage home.

Fredrick is in fifth grade at Hillview Primary school and wants to become a  doctor when he grows up.

Graciousness Extended Project

Occasionally we have the opportunity to extend graciousness to children that have special needs or have graduated from our day school but have no support. Some of the children who have graduated from the 7th grade no longer are given a meal or assistance to go on further with their education.  We have developed this program to help care for these children who do not fall under our school and feeding program. If you were sponsoring a child who has since graduated and you would like to continue sponsoring the same child this is for you.

Amazingly some of the children we started with at our day school are now completing senior High school and heading into collages. Hallelujah!!!

February 2017 Newsletter

 Shalom and blessings.

A word for you

God and God Alone

Allow me to offer a simple definition of wisdom. Wisdom is looking at life from God’s point of view. When we employ wisdom we are viewing life as God sees it. That’s why it’s so valuable to think God’s thoughts. You look at difficulties and tests as God looks at them. You look at family life and child rearing as God looks at them. You interpret current events as God would interpret them. You focus on the long view. You see the truth even though all around you are deception and lies.

Let’s go a step further and define another scriptural term: understanding. What does it mean? Understanding is responding to life’s struggles and challenges as God would have us respond. Not in panic and confusion. Not by forfeiting those things that are valuable to us, and not by compromising our integrity. Instead, when we have understanding, we respond to life’s challenges as God would have us respond. We trust Him. We believe in Him. We refuse to be afraid. We don’t operate our lives according to human impulses or in step with today’s politically correct culture.

How terribly important it is that we stand firm in wisdom, responding in understanding. Neither can be found by our own effort or as a result of our searching. God graciously provides both.

Have a great day

C.S.

Thank You

Your support means a lot to us. We’re so thankful for your partnership with our ministry because your help results in transformed lives. You are making a difference in the Kingdom of God here in Africa. For this, we’re grateful.

The New Year is upon us, and we just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU for lives you helped touch through your love, generosity and prayers in 2016.  A BIG thanks to those who come, those who sent and those who cried and rejoiced with us. You are all God sent!!

Todah Rabbah and a big hug from all of us in Zambia.

We are excited at what the Lord is going to accomplish through the teams coming to Zambia this year.

The Day School

IMG_1733

Children from our day school and orphanage singing songs of praise  at our new congregation.

The day school reported an astonishing 100% pass rate among our seventh graders!! We would like to sincerely thank all our sponsors who have and continue to invest into the lives of these young people under our care.

Without your support, encouragement and prayers these kids would be lost among the 34 million orphans living in Africa, many without food, education, medical care and a promising future.

The Zambian government through the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) visited the Day school and orphanage and gave a donation of school supplies. This is the second time we are receiving help from the Zambian government and we are very grateful.

Orphanage.

We have five new children who have joined our orphanage.

BLESSED MUSA

Blessed Musa.

Blessed Musa is one of the new kids to join our orphanage. He was six months old when his mother died and Blessed was removed from his dead mother breast. Blessed is four years old and before being brought to our orphanage he was a child worker. Zambia has tens of thousands of child workers.

A word for you

Chag Sameach Purim

Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. Mathew 10:16

The Master is sending us into the midst of wolves and not away or from wolves. As sheep we are a delicacy for wolves but that was not God’s intention for saving us. He did not save us that we must be devoured.

We must therefore be on the look out for wolves and espeacially the hard ones to tell. Those in sheep’s clothing.  We therefore need the wisdom of the serpent and the meekness of the dove. The Scripture joins these two together that is meekness and wisdom, in other words one must have the serpent’s eye in the dove’s head. We must have wisdom with our innocence otherwise our innocence is nothing but weakness. We must also have innocence with our wisdom otherwise our wisdom is nothing but craftiness.  We must have the innocence of the dove—that we may not harm others; and we must have the wisdom of the serpent—that others may not harm us.

We must have the innocence of the dove—that we may not betray the truth; and the wisdom of the serpent—that we may not betray ourselves.  In short, innocence without wisdom is too weak to be safe. Wisdom without innocence is harmful and not good.

 Have a blessed day
Alex Yalenga

Rabbi Jay Ledbetter giving Cheiftainess Chiawa, queen of the Goba people a Mezuza.

We were greatly honored to host Rabbi Jay Ledbetter and his wonderful wife Pam for about two weeks. The Lord spoke a lot of comfort, encouragement and knowledge through the Ledbetters. Everyone fell in love with them.

Rabbi Jay ended his visit by sharing at the Presidential palace in Lusaka and challenged Zambian leaders to put God first and not self!!

Rabbi Jay visited with the orphans under our care and a number of congregations under the Zambia Messianic Fellowship, met with Chieftainess Chiawa the queen of the 30,000 strong Goba tribe and gave her a gift which included a Mezuza. A few years ago the queen of the Goba people come to faith in the God of Israel and did away with all pagan worship in her area. About 40 of the 44 leaders under her now profess faith in Yeshua the Messiah of Israel.

Congregations.

I am happy to announce the birth of our newest congregation in Rufunsa (east of Lusaka). It is made up mostly of peasant farmers who have for years been studying the Bible, praying for Israel and the Jewish people. I have personally  mentored the leader brother Choongo for about two years.

Meanwhile 18 people were mikvered at the Zambia Messianic Fellowship and we praise God for these precious lives.

Alex with the new Israeli ambassador to Zambia Gershom Kedar.

Zambia has a new Israeli ambassador Gershom Kedar whom we welcomed a few days ago in Lusaka. Ambassador Kedar is stationed in Nairobi but covers Zambia as well.

Zambia is set to go for elections August 11 this year. Already there has been incidents of violence and we ask for prayer that peace and tranquility will prevail and that God will give us leaders who fear Him.

Orphanage.

We have two new children who were brought to our orphanage by the government after being abandoned by their father who has since vanished. Fujhulia is 11 and her brother Chisomo is 4. We also take

The Day School

The day school has moved a block away to a new location after a lot of harassment of our stuff by the landlord and his family. Despite of all this the school has continued doing very well academically. Our school has qualified to the finals of the spelling quiz of all community schools in Lilanda Zone!

On a sad note we have lost Isaac Mwanza one of the children at the day school.

Praise reports

We have started moving our offices from downtown Lusaka to our property.

Shalom Zambia radio program is now back on the air and we are already receiving positive feedback.

 UPCOMING VISITS

  • Castlewood Canyon Church will be bringing a team in July 2016. Their last visit was a great blessing with over 100 new salvations.
  • Congregational 268 are also coming in August 2016 and as usual everyone is excited. They have touched many lives for God in Zambia including praying and ministering to royal tribal leaders. Hallelujah!!

A word for you

Failure is to be expected. Not that you strive to fail. God forbid! But some failure is to be expected if you try to accomplish anything worthwhile. Learn to see failure as a stepping-stone to success and never allow it to defeat you. Learn from your failures  and you will be one step closer to success.

The Zambia Messianic fellowship was invited to attend the Africa-Israel initiative an inter-denominational Christian organization which seeks to lobby African politicians to form Pro-Israel caucuses in their respective political assemblies. So far they have a presence in seventeen countries.

Orphanage.

We have received five new children at our orphanage. Hallelujah!! A very big thank you to all sponsors who are behind all this.

BWALYA BARBARAELIZABETH PHIRIIREEN CHILALAMAPALO NAKAZWE

Barbara 3, Elizabeth7, Ireen 10 and Mapalo 11 are four of our five newest newcomers.

Ireen was abandoned by her parents, Elizabeth was also abandoned. Mapalo was rescued by the government from relatives who raped and abused her. Barbara is an orphan.

The Day School

We have had another great year with yet another stunning pass rate for the children at the day school. Our pass rate for this year was at 92.8%. We thank Our Heavenly Father and all the sponsors who have made this possible. The day school kids were able to pass into 8th grade leaving hundreds of thousands of kids from better schools behind. Among the day school kids you will find those without parents, dirt poor, hungry, abused and abandoned. But Fay and her team using the Bible and education are improving and changing these young souls. Thank you for your prayers.

Graciousness Extended Project

Occasionally we have the opportunity to extend graciousness to children that have special needs or have graduated from our day school but have no support. Some of the children who have graduated from the 7th grade no longer are given a meal or assistance to go on further with their education.  We have developed a new program to help care for these children who do not fall under our school and feeding program. If you were sponsoring a child who has since graduated and you would like to continue sponsoring the same child this is for you.

Praise reports

Shalom Zambia radio program is now back on the air and we are already receiving positive feedback.

We will soon be moving our ministry offices from downtown Lusaka to our property.

ZAMBIA MESSIANIC FELLOWSHIP NEWSLETTER.

October 2015

Shalom and blessings.
Our Torah dedication in photos

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105

The great God of Israel recently gave us a Torah scroll through Rabbi Judah Hungerman and his congregation Beth Messiah (Sarasota). The Torah scroll went through some very important routes in Lusaka the capital, passing through roads that hold important government institutions like Parliament, cabinet office (the seat of the government), Arakan barracks and State House (presidential palace).

Life come to a stand still as the Zambia Messianic Fellowship members were joined by many others in celebrating the dedication of the Torah scroll. Led by the paramilitary police brass band, the streets were filled with music, kids, onlookers and joyful congregants praising The God of Israel and Yeshua our Messiah. Indeed His word is a lamp unto our feet.

A word for you

From experience, we know that it is easy to criticize others. And we know that it is usually far easier to find faults than to find solutions. Still, the urge to criticize others remains a powerful temptation for most of us.

Negativity is highly contagious: We give it to others who, in turn, give it back to us. This stress-inducing cycle can be broken only by positive thoughts, heartfelt prayers, encouraging words, and meaningful acts of kindness.

As thoughtful servants of a loving God, we have no valid reason—and no legitimate excuse—to be negative. So, when we are tempted to be overly critical of others, or unfairly critical of ourselves, we must use the transforming power of God’s love to break the chains of negativity. We must defeat negativity before negativity defeats us.

Winners see an answer for every problem; losers see a problem in every answer. – Barbara Johnson

We never get anywhere—nor do our conditions and circumstances change—when we look at the dark side of life. – Mrs. Charles E. Cowman

To lose heart is to lose everything. – John Eldredge

Do not build up obstacles in your imagination. Difficulties must be studied and dealt with, but they must not be magnified by fear. – Norman Vincent Peale

2Co 13:8  For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

Congregations.

The congregations have been blessed with the arrival of the Torah Scroll. Leaders of congregations that make up the Zambia Messianic Fellowship travelled to Lusaka to welcome the Torah scroll.

Thank you for your prayers, the Luwingu congregation  is now experiencing some relative peace and calm. One of our  own leaders was even appointed to the tribal council and the tribal leader responsible for the persecution was openly reprimanded by the chief tribal leader.

About 30 people gave their lives to the Lord in August.

Orphanage.

Meet Dorcas Phiri, 7 yrs old. Dorcas was abandoned by her parents. Dorcas has finally found a home at our orphanage. There are still millions of children and orphans out there in need of help. With the help from above and  with your help we are changing and touching one life at a time. We are so grateful to all those sponsoring orphans at our orphanage and those who are on the waiting list to sponsor a child into the orphanage. Sponsoring a child at the orphanage is $80 a month.

The Day School

About 30 seventh graders graduated from our Day school. Instead of rejoicing many cried and wept openly because they will no longer attend our school. When asked why they were crying, they said they would now be forced to find food, clothing, school supplies and other necessities by themselves. You can still continue helping these wonderful  children through our graciousness extended program.

We will soon be receiving about 40 new children at our day school. We are excited at the potential of  touching, transforming and teaching these kids about the Great God of Israel through the many programs that we have at our day school.

Graciousness Extended Project

Occasionally we have the opportunity to extend graciousness to children that have special needs or have graduated from our day school but have no support. Our United States coordinator Maria Schmitt was in Zambia with her wonderful family. We were all blessed by her coming. She was here to familiarize herself with the operations, get to meet the children and see first hand what was on the ground. Her husband Chip and daughter Jenna were a great blessing too as they helped at the office and also played with the many kids. Thank you for your prayers for the Schmitt family while they traveled and visited Zambia.

Alex sharing the word in Lusaka.
A word for you
Perhaps your vision of God’s purpose for your life has been clouded by a wish list that you have expected God to dutifully fulfill. Perhaps, you have fervently hoped that God would create a world that unfolds according to your wishes, not His. If so, you have probably experienced more disappointment than satisfaction and more frustration than peace. A better strategy is to conform your will to God’s (and not to struggle vainly in an attempt to conform His will to yours).Sometimes, God’s plans and purposes may seem unmistakably clear to you. If so, push ahead. But other times, He may lead you through the wilderness before He directs you to the Promised Land. So be patient and keep seeking His will for your life. When you do, you’ll be amazed at the marvelous things that an all-powerful, all-knowing God can do.
God will make obstacles serve His purpose. – Mrs. Charles E.Cowman

Zambia

We were privileged to meet and dine with a group of visiting journalists from leading Israeli media outlets including one attached to the Prime Minister’s office. Some among the group asked Fay and I to pray for them and bless them and we did it in the name of Yeshua.

Congregations.

We are so glad to report that G-d through Beth Messiah Messianic Synagogue in Sarasota has given us a Torah Scroll and we will be dedicating it on September 5th. Hallelujah!!!!

The Luwingu congregation in northern Zambia was under threat of attacks from the tribal leader who even took parts of the congregational land. The congregation is not new to attacks. It lives alongside a very hostile community who are against many biblical teachings. A few years ago the congregation was attacked by villagers using machetes and other primitive weapons. G-d has been protecting the congregation and so far no attacks have been made against our people. We have also appealed to the senior most tribal leader to intervene.

Our Chinkuli congregation was also drawn into a dispute by the new tribal leader which has since been resolved.

Thank you for your generous prayers.

Orphanage.

Fay with the young girls rescued from a brothel.

We briefly housed at our orphanage some young girls rescued from a brothel in Lusaka. Many young girls are being drawn into prostitution due to poverty and lack of schools.

We have another new child coming to our orphanage and others about to come in when the paper work is cleared by the Zambian government. We are so grateful to all those sponsoring orphans at our orphanage and those who are on the waiting list to sponsor a child into the orphanage. Sponsoring a child at the orphanage is $80 a month.

The Day School

We have a new head of school at the day school Barbara Chanda. The children have had a very full and exciting time. We are so grateful to all who are supporting these children enabling them to have a chance to aquire an education, healthy meals and to learn about our Wonderful Heavenly Father. We have over 140 children at the day school with girls being in the majority. We still have many kids in need of the $25 sponsorship at the day school.

Zambia

images

After the 1973 Yom Kippor  wars between Israel and the Arab countries led by Egypt and Syria between October 6-25th 1973 the African Arab states urged all the African countries who were members of the then Organization of African Unity (OAU) to break off diplomatic ties with Israel  and apply sanctions against Israel. Chad, Guinea, Mali, Niger and Zambia are among those that went ahead and broke diplomatic ties with Israel. Sadly even though Israel and the Jewish immigrants to Zambia had invested a lot like in building the Largest University, The International Airport, the largest referral hospital in the country, Zambia against all good judgement broke off ties with Israel. Many Jewish people left and a few months later the Zambian economy even though endowed with abundant mineral deposits collapsed. The economies of all those countries that broke off ties with Israel suffered greatly. Those who did not break off ties like agrarian Malawi grew.

“I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by you all the families of the earth will be blessed”. Gen 12:3

The Zambia Messianic Fellowship in partnership with many other Zambian ministries, prominent Zambians and godly government officials have been lobbying the Zambian government to upgrade ties with Israel which were normalized by our late president Fredrick Chiluba.

I am glad to announce that Zambia as of March 2015 is now represented in the Holy land by an ambassador .

Poverty in the nation

Water Problem

Children drawing water from a shallow dirty well.

Zambia has now overtaken Zimbabwe as the poorest country in the world.  With a population of almost 15 million people the poverty ratio now stands at 86%. That is about 12.9 million people sinking in poverty. Seven out of ten people live on less than $2 a day. The top most poorest nations on earth are Zambia, Gaza, Zimbabwe, Chad, Moldavia, Haiti, Liberia, Guatemala, Suriname and Angola. Sadly the leadership in most of these countries live like kings while their people wallow in poverty. The Zambia Messianic Fellowship sincerely thanks all those who support us in taking care of orphans, the needy, thirsty, hungry and lost.

Congregations.

Recently God enabled us to drill a water well at one of our own congregations located in a village to provide clean drinking water to hundreds of villagers. The village leader commonly known as headman has been very upset that we did this. He has called for a meeting. We have not been told what wrong we did and we don’t understand his fury and have no regrets for drilling the well at all. Kindly pray that all this will be resolved peacefully.

Stephen is a member of one of our congregation in northern Zambia. He was bitten by a snake and had his arm amputated. Before the wounds would heal the hospital kicked him out due to lack of money. We thank those who stepped forward and helped Stephen to go back to the hospital. He is being treated again and he sends his gratitude to God and to God’s people.

I am glad to report that we will soon be taking in four new orphans at our orphanage. We thank God for the wonderful people who stepped up to help us bring in new children. Currently we have 10 orphans at the orphanage and room for 90 more. it costs $80 a month to take care of orphans at the orphanage.

The Day School

We are still in need of sponsors for kids at the day school ($25 a month). We have about 158 children and as of March  70 children did not have sponsors. Please pray for this need, consider a sponsorship or pass the word around.

If you were sponsoring a child who has since graduated and you would like to continue sponsoring the same child this is for you.

Praise reports

We have received a generous pledge of 50 used laptops for the orphanage and day school computer library from a wonderful Californian couple.

Please do pray that they will get to Zambia.

The Yalenga Family

Continue praying for the Yalenga family as they minister the gospel in Zambia and around the world.

PRAYER POINTS- Please join us in prayer for the following:

  • The greatest numerical growth of Bible believers in the world is currently taking place in Africa and African believers are facing an increased level of persecutions from Muslims. Beheadings, shootings, bomb attacks, kidnapping, slavery, forced conversion, acid attacks and many other evil things are being committed against God’s children. Please pray for the Body of Messiah in Africa espeacilly in Nigeria, Kenya & Somalia.
  • Please do pray for the court case involving our property to be disposed of once and for all and for finances to pay all the legal fees.
  • Pray for sponsorship for our Shalom Zambia radio outreach and that we will resume broadcasting and bear fruit among the 2.5 million listeners.
  • Protection from counterfeit believers.
  • Open doors for the gospel
  • Salvation of the Zambian Jewish community, Muslim community and Traditionalist communities
  • Spiritual and numerical growth.
  • Finances for ministry needs, including a sponsor for each child under our care, financial support for the Yalenga family and for the needs of the other congregations under ZMF’s covering.

NEEDS

  • $80 a month will allow a child to stay at the newly opened orphanage giving them a safe place, warm bed, three meals a day and school. Children will be taken in after a sponsor is found. So far we will have 14 children and many empty beds.
  • $25 a month will sponsor, feed  and educate one orphan for the whole month at our day school. We still have over 60 orphans in need of sponsors.
  • $90 will sponsor one radio outreach program to over 2.5 million people.
  • $150 will help pay the monthly wage of one teacher at the orphanage day school. We have 8 teachers teaching about 160 children.
  • $6 will buy a bible for a new believer.
  • $50 will buy a goat to provide protein  for 164 orphans for a day.
  • Monthly support for the Yalenga family
