June 2012

A word from Alex
“But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for Him.” Hebrews 11:6
Most rewards will be received in the life to come. All rewards are based on quality, not quantity. God’s eye is always on the motive.
No reward that is postponed will be forgotten. When that day in eternity dawns, no act of serving others—be it well-known or unknown to others—will be forgotten.
When we do what is right, with the right motive, but receive no credit, no acknowledgment, not even a “thank you” . . . we have God’s promise that ” one day we shall reap.”
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister” Hebrews 6:10
Have a great day!

Thank You!!

I would like to sincerely thank all who facilitated, coordinated, invited, gave and blessed me when I travelled to the USA.
A big Thank You to many who took up sponsorship of orphans and underprivileged children from our Jerome Fleischer orphanage school.
My sincere gratitude goes to Congregations, Churches, ministries and individuals who took the time to hear what God is doing in Zambia, I thank those who took me in, those who broke bread with me, prayed for me and the work in Zambia and those who simply hung out with me.
Thank you to those who took upon themselves to buy clothes for my family and for the orphans. You are deeply loved and appreciated. You guys are amazing and because of people like you, the word of God is spreading like a wild fire across the world.
Thank you for being the arms and feet that God has used to bless His work here in Zambia.

CONGREGATIONS

I am glad to report that a wonderful couple has joined our Zambia Messianic Fellowship staff. Malidade and Beatrice Lungu are coming in from Liberty Christian center and have a vast experience in ministry.
Malidade is now the associate leader and his wife is the head teacher of the Jerome Fleischer orphanage school helping Fay in day to day administration & teaching. Pray for Malidade and Beatrice that God will use them greatly during their two-year stay at ZMF.
Our Kasisi congregation has been under attack by the surrounding tribal people who are accusing members of the congregation of being Satanists. The gospel is viewed as offensive in some African tribal circles because it goes against many African tribal traditions & customs. A few years ago such accusations against our Luwingu Congregation led to physical and verbal attacks against our members. There is a sustained resistance against the word of God among some tribal leaders who are backed by witch doctors. When people turn away from tribal and ancestral worship to the One true God, witch doctors lose customers and influence.
Please do pray for this congregation.

COURT DATE:

The Zambian High Court
I was given a two-hour notice to attend our court case, which had been brought forward without our knowledge.
We have a new Judge and we ask that you continue praying that God will defend the orphanage property, which is the reason for the court case.
We were sued by a man who at first claimed part of our property and then dropped the claim but is now claiming our frontage which claim if granted may leave us without good access to the new orphanage building and to the sanctuary.
There has been strange happenings during this almost four year court battle, like our documents going missing in the Judge’s office and threats on my life.
Please do pray for a speedy and favorable resolution and for finances to pay litigation fees. Our next court hearing will be October 10th.

Orphanage.

Kindly join with us in starting a new library at the Jerome Fleischer Orphanage school. Imagine a school without a library? Our orphanage school has been running for ten years without a library. If you may, could you please kindly send a book or books to our new library project. Share this with friends, Sabbath and Sunday school kids who may want to send books. We especially & humbly request sponsors of children to send books too. New and used books are most welcome!!! They must be school appropriate. Biblical books are welcome too.

We are also excited to say that we are planning on starting some craft training for our older orphans who are between 15-18 years of age. All this is still in the planning stage and would you kindly join us in bathing this plan in prayer?
The number of children at the orphanage school has again increased to about 160. Thank you to our beloved sponsors. Keep those letters addressed to the children coming!!

The Yalenga Family
June is a time of celebration in the Yalenga household. My wife Fay is celebrating her birthday and two of my three daughters Eliana turned 5 on June 1st and Gabriella will be turning 3 on June 10th.
We thank you for your prayers, support and love, which has sustained us in ministry all these 12 years.
Radio Outreach

The Shalom Zambia Radio outreach is off air.
The radio outreach has failed to take off due to lack of funds. Please do pray that God will provide $100 per program to reach the unreached peoples across Zambia.
Zambia has 81 people groups of which 73 are indigenous African tribes. According to the Joshua project there are 48,000 Afrikaners, 5,900 British citizens, 3,600 Frenchmen and 4,900 Greeks in Zambia.  The largest indigenous African tribe the Bemba tribe has 2.5 million people.

Missions Visits
Kindly lift Paige and Alex W. who are both planning on visiting Zambia from the USA this summer and fall. Paige and Alex W. will be coming at different times and hope to do volunteer work with the orphans and with the congregations.
SPONSOR THE YALENGA FAMILY.
You can now help spread the gospel by sponsoring the Yalenga family. Alex & Fay Yalenga are in full time ministry. They oversee the nine Messianic Congregations in Zambia, had a radio outreach to over 2.5 million listeners and conduct outreaches to the Jewish, animists and Muslim populations. Fay oversees the Jerome Fleischer orphanage, which has 162 children. Alex and Fay have three daughters of their own and have adopted five other children. With only 480,000 formal jobs in Zambia which has a population of 14 Million people the local Zambian congregations (most of them with high unemployment) are struggling to support their leader.
For a tax deductible gift given through Congregational Roeh Israel you can make a difference by sponsoring the Yalenga family with any monthly gift of your choice. Simply write to zmf@microlink.zm to sign up.
