Shalom Newsletter
HAPPY JEWISH NEW YEAR 5774!
Warm greetings from Zambia the heart of Africa. It has been a while since we last sent our last newsletter and we are glad to report what the Lord is doing at the Zambia Messianic Fellowship. We are very grateful for your prayers and support.
Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter.
Psa 136:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.
A big thank you from the children and staff of the orphanage day school to all who gave books for our library.
Some of the books have arrived!
We have received enough books for our library and we would like to thank all who gave, especially congregation Roeh Israel for being the collecting point. Mission Touch has shown interest in shipping the donated books still in the USA to Zambia free of charge if only we can take the donated books to their loading point in the USA (they are yet to advise us on the location). Some of the books have arrived and we sincerely thank those who mailed the books directly. Thank you for helping us to build a library.
CONGREGATIONS
We are gearing up for the annual leadership seminar to be held in Lusaka from Friday August 30th to September 1st. Leaders are coming from all the congregations dotted around Zambia. We have upcoming leaders attending too. Pray for more workers in the vineyard.
Dave McCombs from Denver, Colorado, shared at one of the ZMF Congregations.
We celebrated a wedding at Zambia Messianic Fellowship.
Mission Teams
Pastor Tammy and Mary from Boise, Idaho, help feed children at the day school.
We have been bleesed with several mission teams coming from the USA since June. We have had a team from Global Orphan Relief visit to look at the possibilities of partnering with us for the orphanage. Villagers in Mwembeshi outside Lusaka were so excited at the work of Global Orphan Relief that they even donated land for another orphanage to be built in their area!
The orphans had a blast with all the teams from Colorado, Texas and Idaho, as each brought something new and exciting to encourage and inspire the orphans.
All the congregations of the Zambia Messianic Fellowship, leadership and children served would like to thank all who came. We look forward to seeing you again! We welcome others who plan on coming to Zambia.
The children at the day school had their annual sports day. All had lots of fun. We thank Fay and her team for organizing such a fun packed event.

Urgent Prayer Request!!!
The Lusaka City Council contacted us suggesting they would like to mediate between us and the man who had sued us for our frontage and lost in court. We were surprised that a court case that was disposed of in court was brought up by the City Council as they approve occupancy certificates. We were told they would not give us the occupancy certificate as our land was under dispute.
We alerted our lawyers who responded immediately. We have also discovered that zoning diagrams were altered by some corrupt elements at the city council to make us lose our frontage. We have the original zoning diagrams showing things differently from what some at the council would want us to believe. Please do pray for victory over all this.
The Yalenga Family
Alex & Fay Yalenga
Alex underwent a minor eyelid surgery and is 100{f867ed0a5269d3ff73e3962581c489613d212587fec1849d90b46f9dafc0d2f4} functional. Thank you to all who prayed and called.
Fay is due around mid September, kindly pray for a safe delivery and good health. Fay recently found out that she will need a C-section. Please pray and consider giving to help with this, which will be a minimum of $900. All medical costs in Zambia have to be paid up front or the doctors will not treat a patient.
