March 2025 Newsletter.

Word from Rabbi Alex.

Shalom from Zambia.

With so many things going wrong all around the world, it is easy to lose one’s peace because of all the chaos out there in the world. But remember that you are in the sight and safe keeping of the Great God of Israel. We can all touch and feel after Him through our faith. In Him we find peace and assurance. He is a solid Rock for Israel and for all His children.

“The natural man must know in order to believe; the spiritual man must believe in order to know”. A. W. Tozer.

Have a wonderful day!

The New Israeli Embassy in Lusaka, Zambia.

The good news coming out of Zambia is that Israel is coming back again to open the Israeli Embassy in Lusaka, Zambia to serve Zambia and five other African countries in Southern Africa. The Israeli Embassy was closed about 53 years ago in 1973 after the Yom Kippor wars. Even though Zambia re-established diplomatic ties with Israel in about 1991, there was no Israeli embassy in Zambia.

I was privileged to go and pray at the site of the soon to open Israel embassy in Lusaka.

Continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the salvation of the chosen people.

Zambia Messianic Fellowship News.

The Torah dedication!

As a congregation we have been blessed with a Sefer Torah!! Our old Torah scroll is about 150 years old, it survived the holocaust and suffered some damage hence missing many parts.

After years of prayer and looking we found a perfect Sefer Torah which once served with an IDF unit and is now ours.

We thank the Lord for Rabbi Michael Schiffman for locating the Torah scroll for us.

We had a joyful parade led by the Zambia Police brass band as we welcomed our Torah scroll and marched through the streets of Lusaka to our Congregation.

Some from the local Jewish community joined us in welcoming our new Sefer Torah.

Also our Messianic Jewish community joined the rest of the Jewish community in lighting the menorah during Channukah last December. It was such a powerful show of joy and unity.

Paul Wilbur Ministries is coming to Zambia to drill wells among the Lemba Jews.

Our Purim celebration!!

School.

We lost some of our prized teachers to the government who offered better pay. But the Lord has been restoring us, we now have a new head of school and have been recruiting new teachers with a heart for orphans.

We hope to soon take back our position as the number 1 school in both academics and sports.

Some of our children have begun computer lessons, to most this is the first time they have ever seen a computer. They are making good progress and loving the lessons.

All the children from K1 to K12 and those in colleges are doing well.

Our funding for sponsoring the children has dramatically reduced, please pray for more funding and help recruit more sponsors.

We thank the Lord for those who have faithfully given to help feed and educate the orphans under our care.

We have over 300 children.

Yalenga family.

The Yalenga family is doing well thanks for your prayers and support. Our oldest Tamar will be graduating her pre-med degree in the USA in May this year and our second born Eliana will also be graduating her International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma this June in Zambia.
